Detailed Tour Plan

DAY 1: ARRIVE GUWAHATI / BHALUKPONG (about 220 kms/5-6 hrs.)
Arrive Guwahati by morning flight from Delhi/Kolkata and on arrival straight drive to , famous for Black Headed Ibis. Arrive Bhalukpong and transfer to your accommodation. After lunch enjoy riverside & walk around the local bazaar at the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. O/n Riverside Cottages.

Day 02: BHALUKPONG/ DIRANG (about 185 kms/ 06-07 hrs)
After an early breakfast drive to Dirang enroute visit Asia’s second largest Orchidarium at Tipi where one can have a quick look over 7500 orchids from a collection of about 300 species. On arrival in Dirang, check in at your hotel for overnight. If time permits visit Dirang Monastery.

Day 03: DIRANG / TAWANG (about 145 kms/ 06-07 hrs)
Morning visit Shangti Valley & Drive to Tawang, en-route stop over at Sella Pass (13,700 ft) + Jaswantgarh Memorial. Arrive Tawang and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Tawang

Day 04: TAWANG
After breakfast visit of 400 years (17th century) old Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world after Potala Palace in Tibet. Later visit Nunnery on hilltop.

Evening visit Tawang War Memorial, a 40 ft high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-Indo War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Enjoy light & sound show.

Rest of the day free to stroll round the streets of the town. Overnight in Tawang.

Day 05: TAWANG – BUMLA PASS – TAWANG (about 45 kms/ 03-04 hrs one way)
Day excursion to Bumla Pass (Indo-China border). Evening free to relax. Overnight in Hotel.

NOTE: Foreign nationals are not allowed to visit Bumla Pass.

Day 06: TAWANG – BOMDILA (about 185 kms/ 06-07 hrs)
Drive to Bomdila, enroute visit Jung Water Falls + Sela Pass crossing + On arrival check in at your hotel. Afternoon if time permits visit Old Bomdila Monastery on arrival. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 07: BOMDILA – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK (about 260 kms/6-7 hrs.)
After breakfast drive down to Kazirnaga National Park via Tezpur. Evening free to relax in Kaziranga National Park. O/n hotel.

Day 08: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Morning Elephant Safari + After breakfast Jeep Safari & Afternoon Jeep Safari into the park. O/n Hotel.

Day 09: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – GUWAHATI (about 250 kms/5-6 hrs.)
Drive back to Guwahati, enroute visit Mahamrityunjay Temple and continue drive. Evening free in Guwahati OR enjoy River cruise on Brahmaputra & Overnight in hotel.

Day 10: GUWAHATI – DELHI/KOLKATA FLY
Morning visit Kamakhya Temple, on Nilachal hill, 08 kms west of Guwahati city, is one of the most venerated shaktipeeths in India. The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra. The garbhagriha deep inside the temple, marks the sacred spot and is kept covered with red silken cloth.

Later transfer to airport for your flight to home.
